Cars And Coffee Soho | Retromobile

Fall 2026 in NYC has included a long string of days with crystal clear blue skies and warmish weather. Perfect conditions for a Saturday morning early start in Soho for a cars and coffee event on Greene Street. This one was organized by Duane of Porsche Stimmung and Retromobile. It served as a warmup to the inaugural Retromobile NYC taking place at Javits November 19-22. I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time there and returning with deep coverage of the show.

The morning started out quiet and got progressively busier and noisier as the sun found it’s way between the buildings. Some really special cars were dotted around the long three block area. Most notable was the one of one 1946 Lancia Aprilia Barchetta Corsa shown by Retromobile. The coachwork was by lesser known Carrozzeria Riva based in Merate, Italy. Riva started as a horse-drawn carriage maker and transitioned to bespoke vehicle body design and fabrication. Riva’s peaked with the flowing 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Serenissima Berlinetta powered by an Alfa boat engine.

Surely not planned but there was a nice trio of green muscle cars including a pristine Chevelle, a mid-60s Buick Skylark and a restomod Mustang. Another rarity was the 2001 Dodge Viper GTS with the AutoForm Street Coupe aftermarket conversion kit. Winner of the most big wing energy award of the morning.
