Winter ’25/’26 in NYC has been a notably harsh one and car culture events should be in deep hibernation. But a narrow window of opportunity opened between weeks old lingering snow piles and 24 hours before a potentially historic blizzard. Car Part Time, an automotive concept space and members club took advantage of warmish 45f degree temps to host a public cars and coffee at their garage/lounge in Brooklyn.
The interior, designed by office of tangible space housed a half dozen Porsches and Ferraris. It includes a few custom pieces like the towering speaker system and aluminum floor lamps. There’s nothing overtly automotive about the interior and without the cars, it could be a fashion or furniture showroom in an instant.
Outside, a few brave owners brought out their supercars while others repeatedly orbited the block hunting for parking. Someone was cruising by in a vintage NYC Checker cab that looked mint. Kinda wish I got a few shots of it, hopefully it’ll show up at another event later this year.
